    : United States: Florida: Okaloosa County. Eglin Air Force Base. T1N, R25W, S2 Holt S.W. 7.5' Topographic Quadrangle. East of Metts Creek and W. of Malone Creek. Ca. 0.45 mi. N. of intersection of RR 688 and RR 675 and ca. 0.15 mi. W. of RR 675. Sandhill community in which the hardwoods were treated with the herbicide "Velpar" in 1995. Pinus palustris dominates overstory and understory consists of Serenoa repens and Quercus laevis. Basal rosette ca. 2 ft. wide. Flower stalk ca. 5 ft. tall. Flowers whitish-green with some of the petals damaged by visiting (blue-green) moths. Frequent.
