    : United States: Florida: Columbia County. T6S, R15E, S24 Four and 0.5 miles NW of Fort White off of US 27 in Ichetucknee Springs State Park. Ca. 0.8 mile NE of South Entrance where NE corner of section 1C and SW portion of section 1D meet. Edge of former pine plantation and disturbed sandhill community. Tree; ca. 20 m tall; trunk with deep vertical gray fissures; stems, rachis, and blades covered with dense white hairs; catkins green. Frequent. Growing with Pinus palustris and Quercus hemisphaerica.
