Corolla cream-colored, anthers yellow; plants suffrutescent, branched at base. Associates include Bonamia grandiflora, Carya floridana, Cnidoscolus stimulosus, Dalea feayi, Paronychia chartacea, Polygonella myriophylla, Quercus myrtifolia, Sabal etonia, and Selaginella arenicola.
