    : United States: Florida: Alachua County. T8S R18E S38. San Felasco Hammock State Preserve, on the south side of the Sanchez Prairie approximately 50 m northeast of Split Rock Sink. Water elm-popash swamp. Associated with Acer, Planar aquatica, Cephalanthus, and Ilex. Tree, 3 m in height. Leaves not compressed against the stem.
    Notes : [Material removal ann.:] 4-6 leaves or one short shoot removed for anatomical study (stomatal density proximities) in connection with Ph.D. project: Reconstructing tertiary stmosphere from paleobotanical evidence.
