[...] Scrub on yellow sand with Dicerandra frutescens, Nolina brittoniana, Vitis rotundifolia ("pygmy" entity), and Quercus spp. Locally common subshrub with yellow flower buds, white corollas with purple spots, purple anthers, and crushed foliage with a peppermint-like fragrance.
