    : United States: Florida: Polk County. Soggy soil in transitional zone between pineland and swamp along the north side of State Road 630 ca. 4 miles east of Frostproof. Most common in disturbed area along the roadside where it was found in association with Pinus elliottii, Myrica cerifera, Erianthus giganteus, Persea palustris, Magnolia virginiana, Baccharis halimifolia, Vitis rotundifolia, Rubus sp. and other primarily herbaceous species. Common but localized.
