Have you heard of the #frontstepsproject?
The current COVID-19 pandemic and its ensuing social distancing restrictions has created a LOT of down time for almost everyone in the wedding and events industry… but photographers all around the country are using this time for good! The #frontstepsproject is a movement in which professional photographers are arranging free mini-photo shoots with families on their front porches or lawns (while keeping a safe distance, of course) — all for a donation to charity.
What a fantastic way to use your talents to help others!
Local and semi-local participants:
- Photohead Photography (Gainesville, FL) – free photo shoot with proof of purchase of a gift card to a local business or donation to a local charity/food bank
- Andi Diamond Photography (Tampa, FL) – free photo shoot with proof of donation to Feeding Tampa Bay or the American Red Cross of Central Florida
- AGoldPhoto Pet Photography (Tampa, FL) – free photo shoot with proof of a minimum $50 donation to Humane Society of Tampa Bay
Are you a Gainesville, Florida-area photographer taking part in this project? Send us an email at rentals [@] floridamuseum.ufl.edu and we’d be happy to add you to our list!
