Shell is slender with slightly convex whorls. Successive whorls bear a shoulder or hump, and sometimes have a sculpture of narrow ribs.

Size: 20-30 mm.

Ecology: inhabits shallow marine (5-50 m) waters, crawling on sediment surface or burrowing near the surface; omnivorous, consuming macroalgae and live or dead animal material.

Geological range: Late Miocene (11-9 million years ago).

Geographic distribution: Caribbean – Panama and Colombia; Pacific – Panama and Colombia.
