I am a graduate student in the Department of Biology at the University of Florida (UF). I am also affiliated with the Florida Museum of Natural History (FLMNH) as my advisor, Dr. Steven Manchester, is the Curator of Paleobotany. You can find out more about the FLMNH by visiting any of the links at the top of the page. It is a great museum and certainly worth a visit!
My current research is focused on studying the fossil plants from the Blue Rim site of the Bridger Formation in southwestern Wyoming. You can read more about this fossil site in the “Blue Rim Info” tab.
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Geoscience from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, NY. While there, I completed a senior thesis on a Late Cretaceous flora from the Hell Creek Formation in eastern Montana. This work was recently published and can be found here (Chapter 6): GSA SPE503.
I grew up in a Connecticut and spent my summers on Martha’s Vineyard.
