Every March, Florida celebrates the rich archaeological heritage of the state. The theme this year is “Shared Collections-Shared Stories.”

March is a great time to get out and explore your local archaeological parks and museums, or check out some of the Archaeology Month Activities. We’ll be at the  Silver River Museum on March 9th talking about pottery, and at Archaeology on Tap March 14th. Stop by the Florida Museum any time this month for your commemorative bookmark! Visit the Florida Public Archaeology Network for the full list of activities around the state. FL Archy month poster featuring the Key Marco Cat, a small wooden figurine of human/cat.
