While you’re browsing local vendors and artisans at the Grove Street Farmers Market\, look for our team at the Florida Museum table. \nWe’re excited to bring the museum to Monday’s Grove Street Farmers Market along with the other neat places we’ll be popping up around town. We’ve got some fun activities\, science demonstrations and giveaways at our Pop-up Museums! \nToday’s Topic: Florida’s First Feast\nLearn about the history of the holidays this festive season from Jen Green\, our South Florida Archaeology and Ethnography collections manager. Discover how early native people fed themselves with real objects and replicas of fishing gear. Learn how they used and processed sharks with a shark skin and mark your favorite parts of the Sunshine State on our Map of Gratitude. \nPop-up Museums\nFind us out into the community at favorite spots around town while our public exhibits building is closed for the big expansion project. We’re bringing the Florida Museum to farmers markets\, libraries and other local events around Alachua County. You never know where the next Pop-Up Museum or Pop-Up Gift Shop will surprise you.
