We’re excited to bring the museum to Monday’s Grove Street Farmers Market along with the other neat places we’ll be popping up around town. We’ve got some fun activities, science demonstrations and giveaways planned for our Pop-up Museums!

Today’s Topic: Collections

In honor of International Museum Day on May 18, we’re celebration museum collections! From mammoth bones to butterfly specimens and Seminole artifacts, our collections are full of millions of cool objects. Come see some of these fascinating items and test your skills by matching the specimen with the right collection. Get creative and plan your own exhibit with a fun activity.

Bonus: Our pop-up museum will have a pop-up gift shop so you can browse select museum favorites!

Pop-up Museums

We’re heading out into the community to bring the Florida Museum to favorite spots around town while our public exhibits building is closed for the big expansion project. We’ll be visiting farmers markets, libraries and other local events around Alachua County. You never know where the next Museum pop-up will surprise you.
