SUMMARY:Pop-up Museum: Butterflies
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Women and Girls in Science with us and the UF Physics Department at Depot Park! We’ll be joined by scientists from our McGuire Center along with live caterpillars\, real specimens and fun activities all about butterflies and moths!\nFebruary 11th was designated by the United Nations in 2015 as the International Day of Women and Girls in Science\, and it has been celebrated annually ever since. \nScience Fair for Kids\nThe University of Florida Physics Department is hosting Science Fair for Kids at Depot Park where UF faculty and students will be doing science demonstrations. We’re excited to bring lepidoptera scientists and neat activities all about butterflies and caterpillars. Look for us at the park! \nFlorida Museum on the Go!\nFind us out into the community at favorite spots around town while our public exhibits building is closed for the big expansion project. We’re bringing the Florida Museum to farmers markets\, libraries and other local events around Alachua County. You never know where the next Pop-Up Museum or Pop-Up Gift Shop will surprise you.
