SUMMARY:Pollinator Palooza
DESCRIPTION:Plant for pollinators! We’re excited to be at First Magnitude Brewing Co. again for this  fabulous festival to support pollinator conservation. Pick up a free plant\, grab a bite to eat and try out special beer at Pollinator Palooza. \nPollinators are an extremely important part of the ecosystem but you don’t have to be a researcher to help protect them. Planting native flowering plants in your yard\, patio and even in pots can provide vital habitats and food for bees\, butterflies\, moths and other pollinators. Learn about the importance of native plants\, wildflowers and more at this family-friendly event! \nChat with researchers from our Daniels Lab about their conservation work with at-risk butterfly species and the plants they rely on to thrive. Look for our education team and discover what they’ve brought to share as the Florida Museum on the Go!  \nTry First Magnitude’s special brew called Lopsided Hazy IPA after lopsided Indiangrass\, the host plant of the arogos skipper butterfly\, with 10% of proceeds helping support imperiled butterfly recovery efforts in Florida. \nEach visitor can choose one plant from a variety of native species\, available on first come\, first served basis until we’re out: \n\nSwamp Milkweed\nCutleaf Coneflower\nForked Bluecurls\nDarrow’s Blueberry\nCrossvine\nSwamp Hibiscus\nGold Lantana\nPrairie Coneflower\n\nTabling Organizations:\n\nFlorida Wildflower Foundation\nBeeCity USA\nGrow Hub\n\nExplore more\nPollinator Week | June 16-22\, 2025 \n\nCelebrating pollinators: What are the different kinds of pollinators and why are they important?\n7 Things you can do for pollinators with Pollinator.org\nExplore our guide to Florida’s 50 most common native wildflowers and butterflies\nLearn more about at-risk butterfly conservation work in our Daniels Lab\n\nWant to support the research but can’t attend the event?
