Enjoy the great outdoors with us! Check out our activity table while you’re encountering live animals, making arts and crafts, and meet some of the amazing environmental organizations working in our community!

We’ll have a fun butterfly-launching activity station along with objects from our collections so you can try matching the specimens with the right collection. Get creative and create your own exhibit too!

Creek Family Fest

We’re excited to bring the our Pop-Up Museum to the Alachua Conservation Trust’s Tuscawilla Preserve for their FREE Creek Family Fest. We will be outdoors so be sure to wear closed-toe shoes and long pants. Bring water, snacks, bug spray, sunscreen, and a hat. More information on our host’s website:

Pop-up Museums

We’re heading out into the community to bring the Florida Museum to favorite spots around town while our public exhibits building is closed for the big expansion project. We’ll be visiting farmers markets, libraries and other local events around Alachua County. You never know where the next Museum pop-up will surprise you.
