Join us for a morning of exploration at the Museum! Adults and children on the autism spectrum, including their friends, families and caregivers, are invited to explore the Museum at their own pace in a peaceful and less-crowded environment.

In addition, a separate quiet space will be available to decompress or desensitize. All members of the autism spectrum disorder community are invited.

Event includes

  • Access to the permanent natural history exhibits and Frogs! A Chorus of Colors
  • Discovery Carts with hand-on displays
  • Sensory maps with rules and expectations
  • Quiet area in the Discovery Room
  • Volunteers and staff in the exhibits to provide assistance
