Be a citizen scientist! By answering simple questions about museum plants and animals, you can help our scientists document and protect life on Earth.

Take a Note at the Museum

Come to the Museum on Earth Day to learn about and explore your natural world. Spend a few minutes at our Notes from Nature table to help our scientists identify whether or not plant specimens have flowers. This simple activity provides important clues about climate change.

But there are so many plant specimens, we can’t do it without your help. Pitch in and get a Notes from Nature sticker!

You don’t have to wait until Earth Day to help! You can visit the Notes from Nature website and start any time.
