SUMMARY:Early Explorers: Make a Pollinator Garden Friend
DESCRIPTION:Gear up for fun and learning with your littles at your local library! Our Protecting Pollinators series shows us why these creatures are so important by examining real specimens and creating pollinator-friendly habitats. \nThis series consists of four free\, 30-minute learning sessions meant for children aged 3-5. While the four parts of the series are meant to work together\, each session is designed to also offer stand-alone science fun. \nIf you miss one session\, you can check the calendar and catch it at a different library branch. These sessions do not require pre-registration but do have limited capacity. \nMake a Pollinator Garden Friend\nThis session of the Protecting Pollinators series will teach children about insects that help pollinator gardens and they will make their own garden friend. Our educators bring curiosity-driven activities to little hands to inspire children to learn about pollinators! \nEarly Explorers\nJoin us at library branches all around Alachua County! This month at the Headquarters Library: \nProtecting Pollinators series\nApril 3: What is a Pollinator\nApril 10: I’m a Pollinator\nApril 17: Make a Pollinator Garden Friend\nApril 24: Planting a Pollinator Garden \nThis program is supported by the Children’s Trust of Alachua County. \n \nFlorida Museum on the Go!\nOver the next year\, we’ll be bringing the Florida Museum to branches across the Alachua County Library District as well as many other places out on our community.
