DESCRIPTION:Join us and the UF Bird Observatory at Prairie Creek Conservation Cemetery to learn about all the fascinating work that goes into protecting our feathered friends! \nSee live fieldwork with Museum curator of ornithology Glaucia Del-Rio and the UF Bird Observatory’s Charlie Muise including real demonstrations of bird capturing\, data collection and bird banding! Witness wild birds up-close\, learn about their migration patterns and learn how to identify them. Whether you’re a seasoned birdwatcher or just interested in birding with fellow nature-lovers\, this promises to be an unforgettable experience. \nLocation\nWe will be meeting at Prairie Creek Conservation Cemetery and the facility does not have restrooms or seating\, attendees are welcome to bring their own chairs. \nWear appropriate footwear and clothes that can get dirty or wet. For more information on parking\, visit their website. \nWhile the event ends at 10 a.m.\, fieldwork will continue and attendees are welcome to stay and chat with the researchers. \nRegistration\nTickets are sold out for this event. \nFlorida Museum on the Go!\nFind us out into the community at favorite spots around town while our public exhibits building is closed for the big expansion project.
