DESCRIPTION:Embark on an ‘epoch’ journey through the deep history of the Earth! Join Alaskan artist Ray Troll and Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History Sant Director Kirk Johnson as they share captivating photographs\, stunning artwork\, and enthralling tales from their travels fossil-hunting across the American West and North America’s Pacific Coast. \nLearn how fossils are hidden in plain sight\, sometimes even at 65 miles per hour\, as Troll and Johnson recount their travels across the American West in search of fossils! Their adventures are beautifully captured in the newly published second edition of Cruisin’ the Fossil Freeway (2024)\, Cruisin’ the Fossil Coastline (2018) and the brand-new children’s book Alaska Dinosaurs\, Mammoths and More (2025). \nCruisin’ the Fossil Freeway and Alaska Dinosaurs\, Mammoths and More will be available for sale at the event\, or in advance\, through The Lynx Books.
