Looking for classroom ideas and teaching materials? The Florida Museum of Natural History and Harn Museum of Art partner with other educational organizations to provide information about field trips, workshops, lesson plans and free resources. This event is open to all educators, and attendees will visit the Florida Museum’s featured exhibit, participate in Harn Museum exhibition tours, enjoy refreshments and receive a discount in the Museum gift shops.
Earn In-Service Points! On the day of the event, Alachua County Public School teachers can register at the Museum to earn in-service points for attending.
Free Parking – Pick up your parking pass at the front of the Florida Museum before parking.

Teacher trainings support educators in deepening their science content knowledge, conducting inquiry classroom activities and planning successful school group visits. Teachers interact with scientists and learn how to connect exhibit content to classroom curriculum. Activities and resources are aligned with the Next Generation Sunshine State Standards and teachers earn in-service points upon completion.
In trainings you will:

- Preview activities that can be used before and after field trips.
- Receive resources to use in the classroom.
- Become familiar with the logistics for making a successful Museum field trip.
- Earn in-service points.
