Dr. Ellis is the project evaluator for TESI. Her responsibilities include working with partners on needs assessments, formative and summative evaluations of TESI activities, and overall monitoring of TESI progress and achievements.

Ellis received her Ph.D. in developmental and cross-cultural psychology from the University of Utah with a focus on learning in social contexts. She has been based at the Florida Museum for nearly two decades and during that time has served as the evaluator on numerous NSF-funded projects.

She currently serves as a co-principal investigator on FOSSIL—Fostering Opportunities for Synergistic STEM with Informal Learners and is involved in the evaluation component of several other NSF funded projects including the PCP-PIRE, The Great American Biotic Interchange RET, Open Tree,  and  iDigBio: The National Resource for Digitization of Biological Collections.
