Position description

Waterway Advocates is seeking dedicated volunteer leaders to perform various operations and administrative duties. Most positions are remote / work-from-home, but some have fieldwork and volunteer event management requirements. Please contact us ASAP if any of these sound like you!

  • Office Assistant: The volunteer Office Assistant will help lead our administrative operations to further our mission.
  • Social Media Lead: The volunteer Social Media Lead will help expand our robust social media presence to recruit and engage all of South Florida and beyond in our journey to thriving ecosystems and accessible climate action for all.
  • Broward Volunteer Lead: The Broward Volunteer Lead will recruit and train new volunteers, keep data bases of volunteer information and skills, and keep volunteers informed of Waterway Advocates’ volunteer opportunities throughout the county. The position requires fieldwork throughout Broward County.
  • Palm Beach Volunteer Lead: The Palm Beach Volunteer Lead will recruit and train new volunteers, keep databases of volunteer information and skills, and keep volunteers informed of Waterway Advocates’ volunteer opportunities throughout the county. The position requires fieldwork throughout Palm Beach County.
  • Miami-Dade Volunteer Lead: The Miami-Dade Volunteer Lead will recruit and train new volunteers, keep databases of volunteer information and skills, and keep volunteers informed of Waterway Advocates’ volunteer opportunities throughout the county. The position requires fieldwork throughout Miami-Dade County.
  • Fundraising Hero: The Fundraising Hero will use their expert communication skills and keen sense of initiative to spot fundraising opportunities, develop relationships with potential donors, and manage fundraising campaigns in coordination with the Co-Executive Directors and other team members.
