Description
Join the Germany & Austria Information Session to learn general information about the program, courses, and if possible, dates will be provided along with information about financial aid and scholarships.
This is a hands-on, full-spectrum program in comparative environmental politics and sustainability. In many respects, European cities are much more advanced in environmental conservation and sustainability, especially regarding climate change policies, than their American counterparts. The countries of Switzerland and Germany are among the most advanced countries in the world in this regard (ranked 2nd, 4th respectively), having demonstrated a commitment and success in becoming sustainable. The world-famous eco-district Vauban, a “zero emissions” region of Freiburg, has been dubbed the most sustainable town on the globe.
As part of the course requirements, students will be developing projects for “bringing home” to their own towns, cities, and states the best environmental and sustainability practices and policies observed and studied in Switzerland, Germany, France, and Italy.
Date and Time
Friday, September 20th from 2 PM – 3 PM
Location
The informational session will be held on Zoom or in the UF International Center Large Conference Room at The Hub On Campus.
