Trivia nights are so fun, we just had to do it again.
The second-ever Environmental Leaders Network Trivia Night made a splash as teams gathered to test their knowledge of Florida’s iconic springs. In partnership with The Swamp for the Springs campaign, this event challenged participants with questions related to the social and ecological importance of Florida’s unique springs resources.
With the ultimate prize—a manatee plushie—on the line, teams battled it out in a night filled with friendly competition, learning, and plenty of laughs.
The competition was fierce from the start, with only a two-point difference between first and last place at the end of round 1. However, Team Manatee 2 quickly took off in first place as the game progressed through rounds 2 and 3. Still, Team Ha-Nah stayed on their heels holding onto second place and keeping the pressure on.
Even with an impressive move by Team Ha-Nah in the final round, Team Manatee 2 held onto their lead—winning the night by a single point.
Team Manatee 2, which added its “2” moniker after learning another team had already claimed the name Team Manatee, was made up of students from a wide range of majors including zoology, engineering, and journalism. Despite pursuing different career paths, Arabella Readey, Bea Lunardini, Adrian Crater, and Vic Remley were able to combine their environmental knowledge and interests to take home their well-deserved manatee prize.
A huge thank you to everyone who came out and made the event a success! Whether you walked away with a prize, candy, or just some new springs knowledge, we hope you had as much fun as we did.
