On a serene, sunny morning you journey to a Florida beach, but the shore isn’t as perfect as you imagined. The sand has vanished beneath mats of brown sargassum stretching as far as you can see, piled in thick, rotting heaps along the waterline, and it will keep coming. We must decide if we see it as a problem to be solved or a resource waiting to be discovered.
