Description

Waterway Advocates, Inc., is currently seeking a Volunteer Policy Analyst to provide critical insight and analysis regarding current environmental policies and events. The Policy Analyst will use their expert communication skills and keen sense of current local and global environmental affairs to collaborate closely with other team members to guide the strategic focus of our programs. The ideal candidate will excel in viewing current events through an educational lens and communicating that information effectively to other team members.

Duties include:

  • Working with other team members to research, monitor, and synthesize key findings and developments in the local, national, and international climate and environmental policy spheres
  • Keeping a breast of climate and environmental news
  • Creating memos, blog posts, and other written projects for internal and external audiences
  • Working closely with other team members to ensure relevancy of programs and other initiatives and foster a culture of transfer and education
  • Volunteer community service hour verification will be provided, upon request.
  • Time Commitment: Flexible – Minimum of 5 hours per 7-day week.
