Position description

The Florida Museum of Natural History is looking for a Communications Intern to work 12 to 15 hours a week for at least two semesters in-person. Open until filled, the position offers great responsibility and experience plus a chance to build a strong portfolio with published clips. You will write press releases, attend outreach events, carry out administrative duties, database management, assist with media request, write stories/blogs, create content and work closely with other departments within the Museum.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess strong communication and editing skills, knowledge of AP style and be detail oriented. Applicants should also have a working knowledge of Outlook, TEAMS, Photoshop and WordPress or have the ability to learn these programs quickly.
