The Fall 2025 TESI Environmental Leaders Fellowship brought together students from diverse majors and backgrounds. Funded with support from the National Academies, this Fellowship offered UF undergraduates the opportunity to gain experience in environmental research, education & outreach, and civic engagement. Our Fall 2025 cohort attended seminars featuring environmental experts, took part in three days of immersive field experiences, networked with peers, and engaged with the public through TESI outreach events.

The semester concluded with a collaborative StoryMap research project that highlights the depth and diversity of student engagement throughout the Fellowship. Each student selected a topic of interest, conducted interviews with experts, and translated their findings into accessible, public-facing blog content. Together, these StoryMaps reflect the cohort’s growth in research, storytelling, and science communication. Explore their work through the links below.
