Education
The Daniels Lab is committed to supporting the integration of research and education. As part of the Florida Museum, outreach in our lab focuses primarily on educating the general public about the importance of natural history. We actively participate in various programs in science education, such as the museum’s ButterflyFest, Earth Day, She’s a Scientist, butterfly gardening at elementary schools, speaking to retirement communities, and much more.
Museum eventsMuseum Exhibits
Our lab works with the Florida Museum exhibits team as well as other partners to develop meaningful content addressing ecosystem conservation, butterfly species and pollinator research. In 2024, we helped develop material for and staff the working lab in the exhibit Science Up Close: Incredible Insects.
