We partner with First Magnitude Brewing Co. to create beers that raise awareness for rare and at-risk butterflies in Florida. The proceeds from these beers benefit butterfly conservation and research in Florida. So far, we have highlighted the monarch butterfly (Migration Marzen and Monarch Milk Stout), the Schaus’s swallowtail (Schaus Stout), Bartram’s scrub hairstreak (Bartram’s Blonde), Miami blue (Miami Blue Bock), and Atala butterfly (Atala Pale Ale).
Highlights
- Beer for butterflies – A look back at the many butterflies, beers, events, t-shirts and events that brought us out into the community to talk about conservation and at-risk species, and how even small efforts can ripple outward to support our natural world.
- Restore the Reign of the Monarch – A initiative among conservation and education organizations, the brewing community and their combined patrons to raise awareness about the continued losses of the iconic monarch butterfly and help restore critical breeding habitat across the U.S.
- Meet the butterflies breaking into the brewing business – The frosted elfin is a small brown butterfly about the size of a nickel. Despite its unremarkable appearance, this rare butterfly has the notable achievement of contributing to its own conservation by helping make a beer.
We’re so proud of the eye-catching graphics our partnership created for beer and merch!
